About WEBTOP
WebTop is a National Competition of the best Web Sites, created in Moldova and for Moldova.
The competition goal is to introduce endowment in Moldova integration into the world informational area, using modern
informational technologies.
The competition is summoned to help in resolving the following issues:
Increase the Moldavian sites quality
Diversification of services, provided through Internet
Revelation of the main modern types of formation and development Moldavian sites
Revelation of areas not fully presented in Internet and support of the most important of them
Promotion of Moldavian sites in specialized World Competitions
The competition made its debut in 2001. 77 sites participated in 2 competition categories, of which 27 prizewinners were
selected. The 4th Competition, in 2004, united 200 competitors in 11 categories, of which were selected 42 prizewinners.
